Incidence of malignant mesothelioma is
rising worldwide due to exposure to
asbestos especially in developing countries
In the 1960s, the first evidence of a link
btw MM and both occupational as well as
incidental asbestos exposure was reported
in S. Africa
It may have reached its peak in the U.S
since people are now more aware of the
dangerous effects of asbestos.
